Alberto Ponti

Alberto Ponti has been a Senior Partner and Head of the Strategy and Business Development Team since 2018 where he conducts both sectoral and regulatory analyses and assessments on target or existing portfolio companies.
Prior to joining F2i, Alberto gained 20 years of experience in London, where he worked as a strategy consultant at LEK Partnership, continuing as an equity analyst with Flemings Securities, CITI and Société Générale. During his time in London, he oversaw several IPOs and M&A transactions such as Snam, Gaz de France, Enagas, and ENEL’s former power generation companies (GenCos). From 2016 Alberto was Head of Strategy, Market Analysis and M&A at Terna developing, amongst other things, models for electricity, energy and commodity scenarios in the Italian and European markets.
He graduated in Political Economics from Bocconi University in Milan. In addition, he took specialization courses in Finance and Advanced Econometrics at the London School of Economics.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of Sorgenia and Ital Gas Storage.
