Social infrastructures

The assets of the portfolio are developed in four compartments:

• integrated management services of biomedical infrastructures with 1.5 million medical devices in about 2,000 facilities in Italy and abroad;
• management under concession in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) regime of non-medical services in 5 hospitals.

In the field of social infrastructure, F2i has invested in the following sectors:

• nursing homes for the elderly and rehabilitation for 10 years, contributing to the growth of KOS, a leading operator in the sector. During the investment period, the company expanded the services offered and its presence in the region, doubling its number of beds from around 7,000 in Italy in 2016 to around 14,000 in Italy and Germany in 2025. In January 2026, F2i sold its stake;
• pharmacies, contributing to the growth of Farmacie Italiane, which more than tripled its network of pharmacies during the holding period, growing from 13 in 2018 to over 40 points of sale in 2026. In July 2026, F2i sold its stake.
